Sam Rule

Hello readers! My name is Sam Rule and I'm from Lebanon, TN which is just east of Nashville. I am currently majoring in marketing and minoring in economics. I can't wait to experience the culture and to travel with 26 of the coolest people at UT. I'm a huge football/footy fan so I plan to go to as many professional matches as possible out there in The Big Smoke (cool recently discovered nickname for London). Along with football, I look forward to experiencing everything London and all of Europe has to offer. Are we on the plane yet?

Sydney Eiler

Hello Everyone! My name is Sydney, and I'm currently a logistics major from Brentwood, Tennessee. I am beyond excited to be in London in only ONE short week! We have all been waiting for this moment for months, and it is crazy to think it's finally here. While in Europe I want travel as much as possible, get to know my 26 wonderful classmates even better, and learn everything that I can from our professors and my internship. I can't wait to see what amazing experiences come my way!

Carly Frensley

GLS started for me, orientation my freshman year.  Global Leadership Scholar was already part of the reason I was interested in UT's business school, I desired to be a part of this amazing program.  I spent my freshman year focused on working my way in to becoming a GLS student.  I wanted more than anything to be a part of a close knit community who would be traveling abroad together, and that is just what we are.  The 27 students in the GLS 2015 class are a family, there is no better way to describe how close we are, and the journey is just beginning.
7 days, it's now becoming a reality.  As a class we started countdown for the day we leave for London the moment we received our acceptance letters.  It's days away until we head to experience the opportunity of a lifetime that we have all been blessed with.  I couldn't have picked a better group to be going with, Lane Morris and Andrew Siedler really know what they are doing, for all future GLS students.
My major is now Economics with a collateral in International Business and hopefully I will be adding a Global Studies minor.  In London I hope to work with a member of Parliament or a Non-Profit organization, because my dream is to open non-profits.  Wherever I am placed I have no doubt in my mind it will be one of the most beneficial experiences for bettering my future.

Can't wait to see what London has in-store for this GLS class of 2015.

Sarah Bishop

One week!! I cannot believe the GLS class of 2015 will be traveling to London in T-minus one week. I am so honored and blessed to be a part of such an amazing program. I have already seen myself grow in just one semester, and I know this London experience will be nothing short of life changing.

My name is Sarah Bishop and I am majoring in Logistics. I am from a small town about an hour north of Knoxville called New Tazewell, TN. I enjoy playing sports and spending time on the lake with my family and friends. Who would have thought that this small town girl would be studying and working in the heart of London? Needless to say I am beyond excited to begin this once in a life time adventure. Stay tuned!

Alex Henke

Howdy reader!

I'm Alex Henke (I'm on the right) from Franklin, Tennessee - just south of Nashville. I am going into my fourth semester at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and plan on majoring in Finance and minoring in Economics. I am super excited about my semester in London and the areas we will be travelling to and expect to learn a lot. A little about me - my top 3 favorite TV shows are The Office, Friends, and Community.

Bye!

Amanda Prevost

Universal Studios, Orlando, FL
Hi all! My name is Amanda and I am beyond excited for the upcoming semester. My current major is Accounting. Growing up in the small town of Paris, TN, I never dreamed I'd be able to study and work in one of the greatest cities in the world before the age of 20. Preparing for this trip has been so surreal. I doubt it will actually hit me until we're roaming the streets of London (probably lost). Regardless, I'm so thankful to share this experience and the next two years at UT with my 26 fantastic fellow GLSers!

While abroad, I plan to travel greater Europe, see a few theatrical and musical performances, and absorb all the culture I can. I am also a huge Beatles fan and Harry Potter geek (as my picture may show), so I'll be looking to enjoy the history of these figures and other notorious U.K. productions and landmarks. It's going to be a great four months!

Dania Li

Hello everyone! I'm Dania, and I'm majoring in Finance. Even though this entire semester has been focused on the semester abroad in London, I still haven't managed to grasp that we're going to be there in one week. Regardless, I'm still ridiculously excited, and can't wait for any part of it (especially travelling)! x
